It was a beautiful sight and a harbinger of what is to come. On the runway sat two large commercial planes from Aeromexico and Interjet and stewardess crews clad in blue walked the glass terminal. Tessoro at Las Conchas’ banner hung proudly on the tarmac, representing the future of luxury development in this growing beach community. Puerto Peñasco continues to take exciting steps. The new coastal highway has been bringing visitors from Yuma and Southern California all summer and fall. I returned recently to Puerto Penasco from a month in Salt Lake City Utah, looking forward to the perfect fall weather. I am anxious to see all the owners of Tessoro who have moved into their condos and are making new friends and new buyers as they go.

International Airport, Coastal Highway and Pinacate Center Open

On September 10, 2009, Puerto Peñasco continued to celebrate what has been the best month in over 2 years. Over Labor Day, Tessoro at Las Conchas opened its resort, showing that luxury real estate in Rocky Point continues to progress.

The next week, three celebrations took place in a one-day tour – The new International Airport, Pinacate Visitors Center and Coastal Highway’s final leg were inaugurated. Read more

As I drive around Puerto Penasco this time of the year, the streets are so colorful with Mexican flags flying everywhere. This is a particularly festive September, as Puerto Peñasco celebrates both new leadership and old triumphs.

On September 13th we install Puerto Peñasco’s new Mayor and Sonora’s new Governor. The city hall is being transformed for the street party. Shortly thereafter, on September 16, Mexico celebrates its independence day – the Mexican version of the Fourth of July.- Read more

Musings from Rocky Point as Tessoro approaches Delivery of the Finest real estate offering in town

While driving to work this morning to Tessoro at Las Conchas a covey of Quail (about) crossed in front of me heading to the sea. I never cease to be amazed how fast those little guys can travel. We have them in our back yard in Sun City but do not see a lot of the little guys down here. We are in the throws of summer with the heat and humidity higher than the rest of the year, but I remind my self daily that living in Puerto Penasco, surely beats shoveling snow and fighting off black flies and mosquitoes in the mid-west. August in Rocky Point – Musings from the Las Conchas Peninsula

This past week has seen some lovely changes in the weather. Normally it can humid in August, but our nights and early morning hours are around 75 degrees. There has been a nice breeze off the ocean and we have had some high tides due to the full moon.

Even thought the days are warm, the residents in Las Conchas are out walking every day and enjoying the beach. Many, like myself, bring their dogs for a walk. Read more

Tesssoro’s Annual Fourth of July BBQ at Las Conchas

The smell of fresh-grilled hot dogs, the chill of crisp cerveza and the buzz of visitors washed over the Las Conchas Peninsula last Saturday as Tessoro hosted its second annual 4th of July barbecue. Over 200 friends, owners, and new clients passed through the beachfront showroom and rode elevators to the in-building model and roof-top deck. Read more
