Update from the Las Conchas Peninsula

Although Tessoro’s visitors always see me in Rocky Point, my family is in the United States and this week I became a proud Marine Corp grandma. I left Puerto Peñasco to see my middle grandson PFC Ryan Gardner graduate from MCRD Boot Camp in San Diego. It made me so proud to see him after 13 weeks, now a young man. Walking on his arm was so special. The patriotism and pride is so incredible and the camaraderie of the parents and families is beyond belief. For anyone that knows me, I am an emotional person who cries while singing Silent Night and when Bambie’s mother died, so you can only imagine my reaction to all the patriotic songs.
