Down on the Las Conchas Peninsula, we have been enjoying days in the mid-80s and nights in the high 60s. The sea breeze is light and comfortable. It is a pleasure to sit outside by the pool or soak in the perfect ocean water. Tessoro’s many owners and guests have been celebrating one of the best springs ever in Puerto Peñasco. For anyone stuck in the heat of Phoenix or Tucson, there is only one question . . . Why aren’t you here?

Phoenix has seen 4 consecutive days of over 100 degrees. It is 105 degrees right now in Tucson. It is 15-20 degrees cooler on the beach in Rocky Point. Read more

Tessoro Owner’s, CEDO & NaturArte Celebrate Community Seafood Market

oyster market in tessoroEvent Supports the Indigenous Cooperatives of Las Conchas’

The Las Conchas Peninsula was alive with the sights and smells of fresh-cooked fish, ceviche and oysters on Saturday, April 10. In a show of support for Las Conchas’ first residents and the sustainability efforts of CEDO, Tessoro and its owners invited the NaturArte Cooperatives to hold a special seafood market at the resort. All proceeds went to support the cooperatives and their families.

The NaturArte Cooperatives have fished, farmed and cultivated mariscos on the Morua Estuary since long before the American and Canadian tourists arrived. They were Las Conchas’ original residents and pioneers. In the years since, Puerto Peñasco and the Las Conchas neighborhood have grown quickly. CEDO has organized the 3 primary cooperatives into the NaturArte Ecotourism Corridor. This allows these indigenous residents to participate in the benefits of tourism and maintain their lifestyles. fogIn Love with Rocky Point and its finest Beachfront Condos

SIMPLY INSANE:  I am not referring to state of mind, but instead taking a look around and appreciating how incredibly fantastic the Las Conchas Peninsula is. I have the joy of waking up each morning in Las Conchas, and each one is treasured.

Right this minute as I write, I am awake early and can’t sleep any more. There is a fog that lingers on the water, and it’s amazingly welcome. The nature captures me. I love it, and can’t imagine going back to bed. Read more

A College Basketball Moment in Rocky Point

Looking for a Better ThingA lot has been made of Tessoro’s internet technology. The developers have taken pride in giving Tessoro owners a level of connectivity no other development could dream of. The Rocky Point Times recently highlighted the new trails blazed by Tessoro at Las Conchas in the internet and technology realm.

So how good is Tessoro’s internet? Last weekend, the owner of Diamond Residence 501 and his guest wandered down to the Palapa with their laptop, opened the ESPN web site and watched the Kentucky-LSU basketball game streaming live over the internet using only the public Wi-Fi connection. Wow! Read more

Salt Lake City to Tucson to Rocky Point

tessoronowHappy New Year Friends of Tessoro from all of us in sales at the award-winning, “over-the-top” condominium development out on the secluded Las Conchas peninsula. I returned to Puerto Peñasco on January 8 after spending a month in Salt Lake City where I live when not enjoying my time spent in our second favorite “home.” It’s great to be so close to skiing and our friends in Utah, but just as great to come back to the warmth of the Sea of Cortez and Rocky Point’s unbelievable beaches and natural beauty (and amazing real estate). Interview with Lanae Johnson

johnson-tFrom JOIN US, December Edition 2009
Lanae was raised in Tucson and grew up visiting Las Conchas with her family. She is now a happy mother of three and is moving into a Diamond Residence at Tessoro with her husband, Darry.

Q: So when did you first visit Rocky Point?

Over thirty years ago, our family started taking vacations to the beach at Las Conchas. We rented different beach houses and always enjoyed spending time at the estuary. The beautiful wide-open spaces offered something for everyone in our family. We enjoyed body surfing, walking the beach, collecting shells, fishing, exploring the coral reefs, building sand castles, frisbee, picnics, bonfires, and cruising the sand dunes. Read more

Q.  Tell us about Las Conchas in 2009?

Musings from Rocky Point as Tessoro approaches Delivery of the Finest real estate offering in town

While driving to work this morning to Tessoro at Las Conchas a covey of Quail (about) crossed in front of me heading to the sea. I never cease to be amazed how fast those little guys can travel. We have them in our back yard in Sun City but do not see a lot of the little guys down here. We are in the throws of summer with the heat and humidity higher than the rest of the year, but I remind my self daily that living in Puerto Penasco, surely beats shoveling snow and fighting off black flies and mosquitoes in the mid-west.
