As I drive around Puerto Penasco this time of the year, the streets are so colorful with Mexican flags flying everywhere. This is a particularly festive September, as Puerto Peñasco celebrates both new leadership and old triumphs.

On September 13th we install Puerto Peñasco’s new Mayor and Sonora’s new Governor. The city hall is being transformed for the street party. Shortly thereafter, on September 16, Mexico celebrates its independence day – the Mexican version of the Fourth of July.- Read more

While driving to work this morning to Tessoro at Las Conchas a covey of Quail (about) crossed in front of me heading to the sea. I never cease to be amazed how fast those little guys can travel. We have them in our back yard in Sun City but do not see a lot of the little guys down here. We are in the throws of summer with the heat and humidity higher than the rest of the year, but I remind my self daily that living in Puerto Penasco, surely beats shoveling snow and fighting off black flies and mosquitoes in the mid-west. Tessoro at Las Conchas joined the Arizona Diamondbacks to support the Miracle League of Arizona at its August 13 fundraiser in Scottsdale. Tessoro raised hundreds of dollars with the donation of a vacation at the resort, which was purchased by an Arizona couple. Tim Smart represented Tessoro at the event, held at Ladlow’s Furniture in Scottsdale.

Tessoro’s First Delivery: Celebrating a Wonderful Milestone in Las Conchas

On Saturday, Tessoro at Las Conchas welcomed Alfonso and Sue Muñoz to their new second home. Dr. and Mrs. Muñoz hail from Payson, Arizona and are the proud owners of a three-bedroom Jade residence.

Sales Associate Roberto Flores led the happy couple through their walk-through of the property. They toured the resort pool area, marveled at the swaying palm trees, palapa and freshly planted grass and landscaping. Read more

August in Rocky Point – Musings from the Las Conchas Peninsula

This past week has seen some lovely changes in the weather. Normally it can humid in August, but our nights and early morning hours are around 75 degrees. There has been a nice breeze off the ocean and we have had some high tides due to the full moon.

Even thought the days are warm, the residents in Las Conchas are out walking every day and enjoying the beach. Many, like myself, bring their dogs for a walk. Read more

AMPI Holds Monthly Meeting at Tessoro at Las Conchas

The Rocky Point real estate and business community came together on the Las Conchas Peninsula last Wednesday, July 8 for the monthly AMPI meeting. AMPI is the Mexican real estate professional association. Nearly 60 people participated and the parking lot at Tessoro was fuller than ever seen before. All in attendance marveled at the advances in Tessoro’s building as the project heads into the home stretch for delivery. Read more
