It was magical, and we came away re-energized in our quest to deliver the finest real estate development in Rocky Point. Here is our story.

We had been working hard to have the resort ready for Labor Day weekend, when several owners plan to begin their first vacations at their new home on the Las Conchas Peninsula. After a long day of work, well after dark, we walked from the Tessoro office, down the sandy trail towards the building and across the pool area, with its water glistening under palm trees in the night sky. We climbed up the wide marble steps, through the lobby and ascended the Diamond elevator.

We have always loved the Diamond model in 201, but we did not fully appreciate it until we spent the night. You are right on the ocean, with all its gentle sounds, and have the perfect view of the moon shining over the water like a celestial runway. It is so quiet out in this part of Las Conchas, and there is so little light pollution. We could see the stars – I mean really see the stars. I counted every constellation, things I can never see in the city or on the more crowded beaches in this town. We opened up the sliding glass doors, sat on our chairs on the terrace, and talked under the stars.

As I headed to bed finally, my heart still racing with pride and excitement, I saw the back-lit onyx mantle in the dim apartment. You really do not get the full effect of this piece of art until it is dark out. From my bed, lying down, I could still see the constellations and moon rays on the water through the wall of glass.

In the morning, the sun rose in the east over the water behind Tessoro. Being on the Peninsula and with views front and back, you get to experience everything. We went down to the beach and jogged for 40 minutes around the Morua Estuary. We were so captivated we almost forgot we were exercising and ran out of breath by a tidal pool deep in the mouth of the estuary. We never saw or heard another person while running. It is nice to have your own private beach.

We got back to Tessoro before 8 am and caught out breath by the pool. How incredible to be able to lose yourself in nature and return to luxury so easily? It would have been nice to have some breakfast and read in a beach chair, but the truth is that we showered and went back to work for 14 hours. Just like you, we work hard so that, when the time is right, we can share the best things in life with our family.

We are proud to be welcoming an extended family of Tessoro owners soon. We cannot wait to watch them enjoy the fruits of our hard work and the rewards of their’s. It was a good first night.

On Thursday of last week, Tessoro at Las Conchas had the opportunity to welcome Jonni Francis and her Coldwell Banker team to the nearly completed resort. Many of the Coldwell agents had not been here in a while and they were impressed to say the least. It is so nice to hear wonderful things about Tessoro from my fellow realtors.

The weather could not have been better the day of the tour and we spent time on the roof top garden taking in the views of the estuary, San Jorge Island and the Sea of Cortez before descending to the Diamond model on the third floor. Once inside, they marveled at the vibrant butterfly sheets of onyx that conceal a spa tub in the master bath. We then went to the second bedroom, which offers amazing views of the two bodies of water merging at the mouth of the Estuary. Finally we ended up sitting on the patio discussing the building and real estate in general. As always, it was so good to see old friends as most of the agents have been here for a long time like I have.

In the final weeks leading up to the delivery of the first residences in Tessoro at Las Conchas, numerous members of the real estate and local business community have been visiting. A real buzz is starting to develop in town and we are all excited to share the excitement which comes with adding a new landmark to this wonderful town.

We spent some time in the Ruby model while enjoying coffee and doughnuts and taking in the views. They were all very impressed with what they saw. After 30 minutes, we walked down around the pool area and watched the construction of the giant Palapa and the masonry workers putting the stone on the negative edge pool. They gazed in awe of the workers planting the huge palm trees that all have a diamond cut on the trunks. We then walked up to the wrap-around Diamond end unit. It was an exceptionally beautiful day with rich blue water filling the Morua Estuary and the tide making a gentle retreat. Impressed was not the word to describe their reaction… the comments ranged from stunning, first-class, and high-quality to “this is the best in Puerto Peñasco.” Everyone had a flattering comment and I came away with more pride than ever to be working here with Tessoro.

I finished my afternoon by walking my German Shepherds on the Tessoro beach and taking in the stunning Sea of Cortez. I would invite everyone who reads this to come to Tessoro and let me take you on a tour of the development.

For those fascinated by a birds eye view, Tessoro is located at the exact midpoint of Puerto Peñasco between Cholla Mountain and the Mayan Resort. From the highest levels, at high tide, you can actually see both the water in Cholla Bay and the water in the La Pinta Estuary. And, of course, you can fully appreciate the beauty and majesty of the Morua Estuary in a new way, watching from above the tides, birds, NatureArte fishing cooperatives and more.

The elevators are provided and installed by Otis, the well-recognized international elevator firm. There are private residential elevators servicing the 4 vertical columns in Phase I — Jade, Ruby, Ruby and Diamond. There are also 2 service elevators that will pass between the Jade-Ruby and Ruby-Diamond cores. These elevators will allow for maid and maintenance personnel to service the building without being noticed by owners and guests. They will also facilitate moving and furniture delivery.
