Lanae was raised in Tucson and grew up visiting Las Conchas with her family. She is now a happy mother of three and is moving into a Diamond Residence at Tessoro with her husband, Darry.

Q: So when did you first visit Rocky Point?

Over thirty years ago, our family started taking vacations to the beach at Las Conchas. We rented different beach houses and always enjoyed spending time at the estuary. The beautiful wide-open spaces offered something for everyone in our family. We enjoyed body surfing, walking the beach, collecting shells, fishing, exploring the coral reefs, building sand castles, frisbee, picnics, bonfires, and cruising the sand dunes. Read more

Chuck is Vice President of the Las Conchas HOA and the director of Océano Luxury Vacation Rentals and Real Estate. Charlie is Chuck’s father and one of the original Las Conchas homeowners who played a key leadership role in the neighborhood’s development.

Q.  Tell us about Las Conchas in 2009?

Chuck: It’s been an exciting year. Lot’s of new houses were built, Tessoro opened, there is a new administration in the state and local governments that we think will be great for infrastructure and tourism development. The HOA is strong and active. CEDO is getting ready to celebrate its 30th anniversary. We are really looking forward to 2010. Read more

Thanksgiving at Tessoro at Las Conchas First Annual Turkey Chili Cook-Off &
Spa/Fitness Center Grand Opening

Saturday, Nov. 28 from 1pm-6pm

New communities spawn new traditions. Several owners plan to spend the Thanksgiving holiday at Tessoro in Puerto Peñasco and this is a big weekend in the Las Conchas neighborhood. In honor of the holidays, Tessoro plans to start an annual “Turkey Chili Cook-Off” for the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

All Tessoro owners are invited to bring their family Chili recipes (use your leftover Turkey, bring your favorite meats or go vegetarian). Read more

Tessoro was transformed on Saturday. This time it was not about construction advances, but about people and the start of a community on the Las Conchas Peninsula. Musings from Rocky Point as Tessoro approaches Delivery of the Finest real estate offering in town

While driving to work this morning to Tessoro at Las Conchas a covey of Quail (about) crossed in front of me heading to the sea. I never cease to be amazed how fast those little guys can travel. We have them in our back yard in Sun City but do not see a lot of the little guys down here. We are in the throws of summer with the heat and humidity higher than the rest of the year, but I remind my self daily that living in Puerto Penasco, surely beats shoveling snow and fighting off black flies and mosquitoes in the mid-west. Tessoro’s First Delivery: Celebrating a Wonderful Milestone in Las Conchas

On Saturday, Tessoro at Las Conchas welcomed Alfonso and Sue Muñoz to their new second home. Dr. and Mrs. Muñoz hail from Payson, Arizona and are the proud owners of a three-bedroom Jade residence.

Sales Associate Roberto Flores led the happy couple through their walk-through of the property. They toured the resort pool area, marveled at the swaying palm trees, palapa and freshly planted grass and landscaping. Read more

August in Rocky Point – Musings from the Las Conchas Peninsula

This past week has seen some lovely changes in the weather. Normally it can humid in August, but our nights and early morning hours are around 75 degrees. There has been a nice breeze off the ocean and we have had some high tides due to the full moon.

Even thought the days are warm, the residents in Las Conchas are out walking every day and enjoying the beach. Many, like myself, bring their dogs for a walk. Read more
