Down on the Las Conchas Peninsula, we have been enjoying days in the mid-80s and nights in the high 60s. The sea breeze is light and comfortable. It is a pleasure to sit outside by the pool or soak in the perfect ocean water. Tessoro’s many owners and guests have been celebrating one of the best springs ever in Puerto Peñasco. For anyone stuck in the heat of Phoenix or Tucson, there is only one question . . . Why aren’t you here?

Phoenix has seen 4 consecutive days of over 100 degrees. It is 105 degrees right now in Tucson. It is 15-20 degrees cooler on the beach in Rocky Point.

Many Arizona residents don’t realize the difference in temperature between Phoenix/Tucson and Puerto Peñasco can be so great. In the spring and summer, one of the best ways to get to a more comfortable climate is to head down to the beach. The sea breezes and ocean-side location make for much, much more comfortable days and perfect evenings. In the winter, the beach in Rocky Point is usually warmer by day, offering perfect golf weather. The biggest difference is at night, though, when things can get frosty in AZ. The Sea moderates the climate in Rocky Point, keeping most nights only moderately colder than the days.

There are so many reasons to head down to Puerto Peñasco this time of year. The kids are off of school, the beach beckons, the town just had one of the most vibrant and successful Memorial Day weekends in years, Rocky Point’s beach houses and condos are world class, and the Mexican food and fresh fish and shrimp are always amazing. One of the most important reasons that people miss, is the near perfect weather. Not too hot, not too cool . . . just right.
