Tesssoro’s Annual Fourth of July BBQ at Las Conchas

The smell of fresh-grilled hot dogs, the chill of crisp cerveza and the buzz of visitors washed over the Las Conchas Peninsula last Saturday as Tessoro hosted its second annual 4th of July barbecue. Over 200 friends, owners, and new clients passed through the beachfront showroom and rode elevators to the in-building model and roof-top deck. And many were in for a surprise at Rocky Point’s finest real estate development.

As promised, Tessoro is about to deliver and visitors were treated to a pool full of water, nearly 30 tall sturdy palms trees swaying in the breeze, a towering palapa, finished steps and first floor lobby, a nearly completed outdoor bar and grill building and green landscaping beginning to sweep across the site.

The elevators are tested and running – and visitors for the first time could see that they are graced with travertine and granite flooring with engraved Tessoro logos. Every detail shines with class.

The surprises did not stop with the building and common areas. A CEDO environmental expert arrived before sunset to conduct a first-ever eco-tour of Las Conchas from the Tessoro rooftop. A large crowd enjoyed a sweeping tour-de-force of Puerto Peñasco’s natural bounty without sweating or stepping into a kayak. Tessoro’s unique position allowed the guide to take everyone through San Jorge Island (aka Bird Island), the Morua Estuary, Pinacate Volcano, and the NaturArte oyster and fishing cooperatives. Sea lions, shrimp and crab nurseries, rare and migrating birds and bountiful tides were brought to life and seen from a bird’s-eye view. Also revealed were the new Las Conchas eco-maps, created in cooperative effort between Tessoro and CEDO for the benefit of the community and local environmental conservation efforts.

Back at the model, an American flag ruffled in the breeze and guest grill-master Bill Arrowood kept the hot dogs coming. Smiles, hugs and handshakes were the order of the day. Happy Independence Day America!
